Young Life Internships
for Catholics age 18-26

Do you love Jesus and love teenagers?

Given a grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, we are offering two types of paid ministry internships for Catholics in the Pacific Northwest. These internships provide extensive training and practical experience in engaging with youth as they navigate their faith journey. Both internships allow Catholics to discern a call to vocational ministry while making a meaningful impact in the lives of youth. The two types of internships:

● 10-week, full-time summer internship, $4,200 (apply here)

● 12-month, part-time internship, $20,200 (apply here)

The 10-week, full-time summer internship

  • Rolling application/acceptance is currently open for summer internships that begin June, 2025
  • Aimed at anyone 18-26 looking to explore the field of youth ministry (college students or recent grads)
  • Internship includes working at Young Life's camp in Eastern Oregon, taking students to camp/serving as a cabin leader, and working outside of camp in a ministry team — engaging with students during the summer in your local Young Life area

The 12-month, part-time internship

  • Rolling application/acceptance is currently open; 12-month internships typically start in the fall but can begin any time
  • Aimed at anyone 18-26 who is considering the field of youth ministry (part-time college students, parish youth ministers looking for a second part-time job)
  • Internship may include taking students to summer camp but mainly will be focused on participating in a ministry team — engaging with students in middle schools or high schools

Questions?

Young Life is an ecumenical organization, and we seek to have our leaders reflect the population of students we serve. We are eager to train more Catholics to help us minister well to students of all levels of faith, including Catholic middle school and high school students who are already participating in Young Life. We have funding to offer these internships for the next six years, 2024 - 2029.
